EVENT RULES
-No littering. If I see you littering, I will kick you out of the event. This goes for gu wrappers and the like. Keep my forest beautiful.
-Be kind to everyone. NOBODY likes "that guy". Don't be that guy.
-If you cut the course, intentionally or not, own up to it. If you own up to it, I'll let you finish in last place of your category (it happens, I understand) and still earn points. If you don't own up to it, and at least 3 people can testify to it, I kick you out of the event and publicly humiliate you. It's not cool.
-If somebody is hurt on course and you find them, it is YOUR responsibility to find a course marshal and let them know! No race is so important that you can't help someone out.
-No cheating, bad sportsmanship, throwing bikes, temper tantrums, uproarious behavior, or making a scene. I'll kick you out on principle.
-If you think there is an error in your results, bring it to my attention like a responsible adult. If you corner me and attack me about a finish error, I will kick you out and DNF you on principle. Nobody deserves that kind of behavior.
-No Swimming at the Reservoir. I wish we could but we can't.
-No Fires. Again, I wish we could but we can't. If there are any fires there will be only one and it will be my responsibility.
-Dogs Permitted- please keep them on a leash though....I love dogs, but not everyone does. Pick up after them, I hate stepping in sh*t.
-Alcohol Permitted. Keep it responsible, stay under control, do not leave trash, and no under-age drinking.

CAMPING
I'm not sure about you, but I like to be at bike races with my friends. I like to hang out and have a good time. Well, this year the race falls exactly on the fourth of July. Ouch....that makes for a hard drive out in the morning for the early start. SO, what I'm doing is opening up the venue an extra day. We'll be having Camping on Saturday Night and maybe an unofficial night crit for fun.
Camping will be located right where parking is located for the race! So you can wake up, roll over, and race!
Camping spots are $2 a piece: whether you are in a tent, vehicle, or camper. (It covers insurnace)
It's primative, so plan accordignly.
No on-site water, so plan accordingly.
$2 if you pre-reg for it, but its $5 if you do day of. Still not much money.
Come enjoy the holiday weekend.

VOLUNTEER/RACER DISCOUNT PROGRAM
Have a loved one who is coming along but doesn't race? Volunteer em'!
New for 2010, we are initiating a Volunteer/Racer Discounting Program. There are 10 volunteer positions available this year, that each earn a 50% discount for any rider of their choosing. The way it works is this: the volunteer registers first, then I send them a special discount code, and then their chosen rider uses the discount code when registering for their race! It's that simple.
Volunteer Requirements
- Attend a volunteer meeting at 7AM. (Sunday)
- Attend your assigned position for the duration of the race.
- Check back in when you are finished for the day.
Volunteer Benefits
- 50% off Coupon Code for racer of your choice
- Custom Event Item
- Lunch
___________________________________________________________________________________
ACCOMMODATIONS
There will be portable facilities, but there will be NO on-site water! PLEASE bring enough drinking water for the weekend. This is VERY IMPORTANT.
There is a possibility that we will have a barbecue vendor on site after the race on sunday. Plan accordingly.
___________________________________________________________________________________
PARKING
There will be grass field parking at this venue (on a mowed pipeline). Please DO NOT park in the Reservoir lot. We hold registration, awards, and staging in the parking area at the power line.

LOCAL ACCOMMODATIONS
There is a bunch of really enjoyable activities to do in michaux over the holiday weekend.
Caledonia state park has two major campsites, an in ground pool, a running stream, ponds to fish in, and miles of trails (including the Appalachian trail) to entertain you for the weekend.
Pine Grove Furnace state park is located right at two lakes, fuller and laurel, both with beach fronts and boating opportunities. There is a nice campground at the furnace as well as a few group camping areas. There is a vast plethora of amazing mountain bike trails headed out of pine grove.
Also located in pinegrove is the A.Y.H. Hostel/Ironmaster's Mansion with very affordable rooms, be quick with reservations, since it will be a holiday weekend.
NOTE: The Long Pine Reservoir is open to boating but not swimming. This would be an awesome opportunity to bring along that boat or canoe sitting at home and have fun on the lake.
