Classes:

We will be instituting a new procedure to classes this coming year. Admittance will be based upon having a pass for class. Pick and choose what classes you want to go to, and which ones you don't. We will start our classes on time, and I suggest coming prepared with materials for note taking and questions for the Q and A. Much like in college, the responsibility of your education is on you!

Here are a few examples of classes we may have:

"Training With a Goal"
Learn the basics of training: how to get the most out of your training, what will make you faster, and how to structure a training plan yourself. We focus on goals and how to build a training plan.

"Training Technology/Coaching 101"
Learn about what will put you on the fast track to success. See what technology is out on the market right now, from heart rate to power, including training systems and off season training options. Learn about the finer points of selecting a coach and marketing yourself to teams. This will also serve as a forum for you to ask all of your questions about coaching and just what exactly it is.

"Bike Mechanics 105"
Learn how to keep your bike in top shape, from washing to how to adjust those pesky derailleurs. A slow bike makes for a slow race

"Trail Side Tools and Ingenuity"
Fixin' it on the go. Learn some of the inside tips to MacGueyver your bike enough to finish your race or get your home. This class will cover topics like flat tires, ripped sidewalls, broken chains, and snapped derailleur hangers to name a few.

"Pro Q and A"
Now you get your chance to ask the Pros all the things that you want to know, like: whats it like to be a professional cyclist, how did you get where you are now, where you always this fast, and how do I get there?

"Endurance Racing Seminar/Q and A"
Learn all you can absorb about endurance racing from a few of the most talented endurance athletes on the east coast.

"On Trail Technical Skills Clinic and Instruction" (No pass required)
Hone the skills that make a good racer a good mountain bike racer. Learning to ride challenging trail well is a very valuable skill set to have in your race bag.

"Night Riding 101"
New for 2010, come ride with us on friday night at 8:30pm. Bring your lights and learn the finer points of how to blast the darkness.

"Calling All Juniors"
Our junior only class. Learn to plan ahead for your racing and riding: taking the right steps for your cycling career. Learn about things like local programs and the infamous "national pipeline".

"Finding a Fit"
How to get the most out of your bike, when millimeters mean everything. Learn about how a bike should fit you and some things you can do to make your bike fit you the best.

"Responsible Riding" (For everyone!! No pass needed)
A must for every rider. This is an all inclusive lesson on the things you need to know to be a responsible member of the cycling community. Covers topics like first-aid, trail usage, trail care, and rider etiquette.

Cabins

Group enclosed cabin-style lodging is available to registered camp participants free of charge. NOTE*********To reserve your bunk in a cabin you must pre-register and SELECT WHICH CABIN you will be staying in. That way your friends can reserve bunks in the same cabin with you. There are single size mattresses on these bunks. There is electricity also. There is NO heat in these cabins. There are also no linens. Bring a heavy sleeping bag, pillows, and plenty of extra blankets.

**Example: If I am registering for Adult advanced and my friends is registering for Advanced junior, but we both want to stay in the same cabin: then I register for adult advanced and cabin 3, and he registers for junior advanced and cabin 3.

ADDITIONAL NOTE********* If any cabin is left in an unacceptable manner, every occupant of that cabin will be charged an additional $15 for the weekend.*****

Camping

Tent camping is also allowed anywhere on the premise. If you are camping in a tent, please note that on registration (Meaning register for a tent site when you sign up for your camp category)

__________________________________________________________________________________

Fires

There are 4 fire rings already in the camp, please limit your fires to these areas. Also plan ahead and bring small amounts of dry firewood. Take extra firewood home with you. Do NOT leave fire areas unattended. If you leave, put it OUT.

___________________________________________________________________________________

Sanitary Facilities

There is a large bathhouse with hot showers in individual stalls, lots of sinks, and plenty of toilets. There are two sex-specific sides to the bath house, respect other users and stay on your own labeled side.

___________________________________________________________________________________

Nutrition

We provide three meals saturday and two on sunday, as well as snacks each night. Bringing your own snacks is highly encouraged, but we remind you that the kitchen is only for the use of our staff and please do not make a mess or leave left over food or trash in the woods.

**If you have food allergies that will influence what you are able to eat during the weekend, it is YOUR responsibility to inform us so that we can accommodate you.

Kit Sizing:

One of the really cool perks of the weekend is that you actually walk away with your own jersey, and the advanced juniors walk away with an entire kit.

Here are a few tips on picking the correct sizes:
-I order adult sizes in the race cut models and the women's sizes(they only make one cut).
-The race cut jersey is a form fitting design. If you like a baggy jersey, order a size or two up. If you want a skinsuit tight fit, order a size down than usual.
-I use champion systems, their sizing chart can be found here.

Post Registration Information

A full weekend schedule, packing list, menu, and short list of bios of the camp coaches/guest riders will be sent out to pre-registered riders three weeks prior to the camp.
