It’s a competitive year out there, with many races of every
distance, caliper, and persuasion. And 5k’s are especially popular. When I stop
and ask myself why, I come up with one big resounding opinion: that it is
simply convenient to run a 5k. It’s a good way to show up to an early morning
run, and trick yourself into a much harder workout than you would have had on
your own. It’s our competitive nature that makes that word “race” so poignant
and convictive. Anybody can sneak out of the house and achieve a positive experience in a 5k before lunch time! These are positives in a
world that craves convenience and needs to get out of the house and work up a
sweat. We've got it all taken care of for you, so join us down on the farm at Genesse Valley Outdoor Learning Center for a fast, fun morning run!

The cost of the race is $15 for kids under 18, adult pre-registration is $20, and $25 for adult day of registration. Pre-registration will be hosted on runreg.com.

Course:
The course is a mix of farm roads, grass paths, and some very interesting and fun features of the course. It will wind and careen around the farm grounds at the Genesse Valley Outdoor Learning Center in beautiful rural Maryland.
Rules:
1. No poor sportmanship
2. No dogs on Genesse Valley property (Maybe someday)
3. No alcohol on Genesse Valley property
4. After the 15 minute protest period, all results are final
